Mission Statement


Greenwich Local Involvement Network (Greenwich LINk) is an inclusive network, independent from local government and NHS that will enable people and organisations in Greenwich to have a voice and an input to influence the involvement in consultations, planning, commissioning and delivery of health and social care services to improve the health and well-being of patients, carers, public and service users in Greenwich.


 

Purpose of the LINk
 

In accordance with Part 14 of the Local government and public Involvement in Health act 2007, LINks will:
 

Ü    promote and support the involvement of people in the commissioning, provision and scrutiny of local 
Ü    health and social care  services

Ü obtain the views of people about their needs, and experiences of, local health and social care services

Ü enable people to monitor and review the commissioning and provision of care services

Ü raise the concerns of local people with those responsible for commissioning, providing, managing and
Ü    scrutinising services
 

 

The statutory powers awarded to LINK will underpin its work:

 

Ü    ask commissioners and providers for information about services and expect a response within 20 days

Ü make recommendations to commissions and providers and expect a response within 20 days

Ü enter and view premises

Ü refer matters to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee
